Claude (claude.ai and Desktop)
Add FormMaker to Claude as a custom connector.
Before you start
Copy your connector URL from the dashboard — the one under "Add to your AI client". You'll paste it in step 3.
Add the connector
- Open Settings.
- Go to Connectors and choose to add a custom connector.
- Give it a name — FormMaker — and paste your connector URL into the URL field.
- If it asks how to authenticate, the key is already in the URL, so there's nothing more to enter. If it insists on a choice, pick API key rather than OAuth.
- Save, and enable the connector for your conversation.
Check it worked
Ask Claude:
list my HubSpot forms
You should get your forms back, each with a field count and step count. If you do, you're connected — try the prompt library next.
If it doesn't work
- Nothing happens / no tools — make sure the connector is enabled for the conversation, not just saved.
- "Unknown or missing API key" — the URL got truncated. Re-copy the whole thing.
- It asks you to sign in — you've picked OAuth. Remove the connector and re-add it, choosing the API-key option.
The connector URL holds your private key. Anyone with it can read every form in your portal. If you paste it somewhere public by mistake, rotate the key from your dashboard's danger zone — the old one dies immediately.
