audit_field_usage

Which fields on a form actually earn their place.

Every question on a form costs you conversions. This tells you which ones are paying for themselves.

It reads real submissions and reports the fill rate for each optional field. A field nobody answers isn't neutral — it's friction you're charging every visitor for, in exchange for nothing. Below 20 submissions it shows the numbers but draws no conclusions, because a zero out of five means nothing.

Then it checks each field against your contact properties and flags the ways a form quietly degrades a CRM:

  • Fields that map to no property, so whatever people type is discarded.
  • Free text over a picklist, which fills a reportable property with near-misses.
  • Free-text company name — "Acme", "Acme Inc" and "acme" become three companies. This is the usual source of duplicate company records.
  • Firmographics you already know, where a rushed answer overwrites better enrichment data.

Property checks need contact-schema access. If your portal hasn't granted it, they're skipped and you still get fill rates, which need nothing.

Check whether a form's fields earn their place

Measure what a form's fields actually return. Which optional questions nobody answers (from real submissions, not opinion), which fields map to no contact property at all so the answers are discarded, which collect free text over a picklist property, and which overwrite firmographics HubSpot already knows — including the free-text company field that is the usual source of duplicate company records. Fill rates need a reasonable sample: below 20 submissions the numbers are shown but no conclusions are drawn. Property checks need contact-schema access; without it they're skipped rather than guessed.
